I've found a cheap way to humidify. Get a nice 2 gallon pot and a little portable element stove or put on your own stove. fill pot with water, vanilla extract if you like and set to almost boil. You will learn the time to refill it. Make sure you;re home when you do this and don't put it on a place the rats can get to it. This is my cheap way to humidify without having gone and purchased a dehumidifier. Tonight I put rinds of Pomelo and vanilla extract into my pot and my place smells divine. It's been SUPER dry here and the rats need it.
