I guess my tip would be to expose them to the bright lights and noises and see if you get her friends and family who don’t know them to come hold them and mess with them.

If the scratch is causing him pain you can give some children’s ibuprofen. It will help with swelling as well. Just get a weight and we can help with dosing.

Bless you and her sweet heart. I could not begin to guess how she was strong enough to accomplish this. Freak accidents do happen on occasion, though. I would be shocked to ever hear of another instance of this. My girl and I are praying for you.

I really have to upvote checking with a shelter. They are going to be able to work with you on getting some babies that are appropriate for a new owner. They are very careful about placing the right rats with the right people. I really think you would end up happiest this way. [emoji847]

I think that depends on the rat. I have had a few I wouldn’t do that with but most of mine were more stressed at not being with ME vs. not being in the same cage.
