Hi, I'm a new to the little rattie owner club of awesome!
My two babies are Jpeg (Champagne with Pink eyes) and Gif (White with light Champagne hood and pink eyes), they are 6 week old brothers that I picked up from a local owner who had a surprise pregnancy.
While Jpeg is brave and adventurous, Gif is shy and still nervous, I have Jpeg cuddling into my hair and shoulders while I'm trying to coax Gif out of the cage but to no avail. They love plain Cherrios so I've slowly inched him out of the cage but he is still jumpy, I'm scared I'm going to give him a heart attack every time I move towards him. I hang out with them for 3-4 hours every night so I'm hoping it will just take time for him to warm up to me.
(I only had them home for 6 days so I might be overreacting)
Also I have heard a little chatter from both of them Jpeg does it when he is nestling down to sleep or when moseying about in the cage sniffing at stuff. I only ever hear Gif do it in their little borrow after eating. I'm just scared is from them being stressed out, is there a way to tell?
Any advise would be awesome!

- Is there an average time for this or is it purely dependant other personalities?
- Do you guys have any suggestions to try and calm him down?
