One of my boys has long scabes behind his ears. I noticed it a few weeks ago. I started keeping an eye on him to make sure it wasnt his brother only to come to find out he wont stop scratching. I've looked up everything I could I've checked him for mites and others. I dont really want to take him to the again. I'm wondering if there is any way to help stop him from scratching and making it worse then what it is.

Sounds like classic mites. You'll want to treat it with Revolution, and treat all your other rats as well as they likely all have them now. You can use Kitten/Puppy, Cat or even Dog (use half the dose as its twice as strong for Dog). It's best to dose by weight but if you don't have syringes or a scale to weigh your rats, a generous drop on the skin on the back of the neck/shoulders should do.
