I thought I would share with you guys how I make some of my hammocks. Some of them have some simple tricks to eliminate a lot of sewing. Sometimes its not really obvious to make them like this until you see it then it kinda smacks you in the head with just how obvious it is!

Step One: Select your fabric, for many of us fabric-holics this may be the hardest step in making a hammock! Fleece/Fleece or Cotton/Fleece. I do suggest a size 12/14 universal needle for these projects.

*To make it easier for people to find the tutorials I will be making a post for them and also linking to them up here for a quick reference*

Step One: Select your fabrics. Again cotton/fleece or fleece/fleece is fine. You will want a rectangle 16X22 at the minimum. The shorter number is going to be how long your decker is and the larger number is going to be how big the top / pouch is. So you can adjust accordingly :)

*note: the bottom pocket of my hammock isn't very big because I was using a remnant that was not as big as the suggested size.

Hello to everyone! This is cross-posted from my note on another forum.

Whenever someone comes asking for hammock tutorials, the awesome cube slideshow and the Rattributes pages are always distributed for their eager sewing projects. I'd never yet come across a tutorial for two items that I'd always wanted to figure out, however - the Snuggle Sack and the Cuddle Cup.

Today, I found tutorials online with step-by-step pictures! This was so awesome that I figured I'd share. ;D

Thank you to the awesome people who put these up online! I'm going to be trying to make them both for some rattie Santa projects.

The cuddle cup tutorial is the one I use and its awesome with just a few tweaks :) The snuggle sack one even though I make sacks I found it a little hard to follow, but that just means I need to get sewing and take some pictures to post my own! :D
