He was a wedding gift from my daughter 12 mths ago.
He had a lump the size of two heads on his neck, I was thinking euth, woke up yesty and it was gone. I am so thankful, he's my little man.

Aww so glad he's alright and so sweet of your daughter
It was probably just an abscess.
You should get a friend or two for him since rats are social animals and will live longer (be less stressed) if they live in groups;)

He's got two dogs lol.

Sorry I didn't mean to sound rude in any way. If it works for you and your rat, that's fantastic.

Pictures?
As previously mentioned, they were likely abscess
Here is some information on how to care for abscesses http://ratguide.com/health/integumentary_skin/abscess.php

If the rattie is living alone, then you will need to gradually intro him to at least one other same sex friend

There is good info regarding intros in the Reference thread https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/reference-thread-read-only.35894/ and at joinrats.com
I realise you are not new to rats, but there is always more to learn

Sure is, always more to learn. Particularly when I found the exit wound. No idea why I couldn't find it. Poor love. So saline flushes etc. At least I don't have to worry about not being able to treat it.
