Hello there. Today I noticed that my rat Pudding’s entire face was swollen (see the attached picture).
This is the first time something of this sort has happened in my 15+ years of having rats and I’m unsure as to just what this is or what I should do about it. Much as I would like to take her to a veterinarian, there are not many exotic veterinarians in my immediate area and the exotic veterinarians that are in my area charge quite the amount of money (for example, it is $1,000 to neuter a rat).
Any and all assistance would be much obliged. Thank you.
