Sunflower Stalks?

Does anyone know if sunflower stalks are okay for rats?

I'm not sure but I googled it quickly and it seems wild rats are commonly seen eating sunflower stalks in summer. (Sorry for the late reply, I just saw this and since there were no replies I tried to find some info on it lol)
