Research on personalities of pets

I found an interetesting article today. Scientists are beginning to research pet personalities! So far the work has been done with dogs, but this is a good start. Excellent to see animal personality entering the peer-reviewed literature. Maybe we should write to the authors and suggest that they try replicating their work with pet rats!

I'm glad they are doing research like this. The more animals are recognized as being individuals with feelings, etc, the more likely the laws will get changed some day for their protection.

The University of Guelph is currently conducting this survey (http://fluidsurveys.com/s/dog-identification-survey/) which is along the same lines (or seems to be from what I can gather).
