Hello,
I have an elderly male with bumblefoot. He is in a clean environment with soft fleece bedding, but he is chubby and has paralysis. Ive tried chlorhexidine and it isnt helping. Ive read a lot of site recommending blu kote, but I cant get it in canada. I can get red kote. It is a different antiseptic, and is oil based and non drying. Active ingredients are phenol, camphor, oxyquinoline and scarlet red. Does anybody know if this can be used for bumblefoot in rats? The description on Naylor's website says it is good for bumblefoot in chickens. I did a google search and couldn't find any info for red kote in rodents. Any help appreciated.
