My rats have a digging box they use during freerange. At the moment it's just soil with some herbs, watercress and wheatgrass planted in it. I love taking photos of them playing in the mud and want to add some flowers for the background. When I search online all I can determine is that dandelions and clover are safe; then there's a short list of poisonous flowers.
