I hope too ;-)

Today she weights 249g, she gained 9g within 2 days (2g + 7g). I'm so proud of her, she's fighting like a champion.

Right now she's in the secured cage with her mates, she's having a rattie life again, that's what I wanted for her.
I let her spend one hour here and then, then she's back in her cage, so I can monitor what she's eating, and she can rest, cause she's still weak from the weight loss.

I see Cabergoline as a miracle drug too ;)

Here are some videos of Pepper's improvements I'd call that ;-)
Beware, the first videos are not easy to watch, Pepper wasn't feeling very good.

Will try to record something today

Now that Pepper is feeling better, I think it's time for a bath with special shampoo. I bathed her 3 times since the beginning, but only with water, I didn't want to stress her out like crazy.

On this video she doesn't show how good she walks now, cause she just woke up.
Like my avatar shows, you can see Pepper got her beautifull big eyes back along with hungriness and weight gaining, and she can balanced easier now.

Just weighted her, she's now 262g (+4g since yesterday). I think she'd have gained more if she didn't sleep in the cage with her mates last nightnight(they probably ate a lot of her food)
Got to let her spend the night in her cage alone, for her to gain weight faster even if it's hard for me and for her to be alone at night. What do you think?

edit: If you wonder what's on her back, we're not sure yet, it's easier infectious (but I don't think it is) still I'm applying the prescribed cream on it twice a day. It's shrinking everyday. I think it's due to some burning, because the week she spent at the vet, the vet told me she spent a lot of time on her back, almost impossible for her to get back on her legs, so she dragged herself over.
She did that here too prior she's been to the vet clinic for 6 days and afterwards, once back at home.
She stopped within 48 hours or so I think. Hopefully this too will get better in time :)

Hey,

Here's a lil video of Pepper. See for yourself how she was doing on Feb, 20th ;)

I even saw her yesterday drinking at the drinking bottle ;-) I didn't see her do that for at least 4/5 weeks. Even if I handled the bottle and try to make her drink she wouldn't, same with a coffee cup. She only had fluids from the mashed blocks I made her and those needed a great amount of water in order to be mashed ;-)

Forgot to say she's back with her mates in the cages for a few fays now ;-)
She doesn't fell off any level at all now, but I secured the cage anyway and even sew special giant hammock for her (but everyone loves it yaaaay!)

I'm so very happy I found the solution to her problem here and then that I found the right vet to provide it!
Vive la Cabergoline ;-) That drug is freaking amazing ;-)

Any idea on what are the differences in the symptoms between a stroke and a PT?
I never had a stroke here so I can't tell. From what I read here and there symptoms are pretty similar, no?

Yes, similar symptoms but I think with a stroke, they actually can fully recover.

That what I indeed read too. Not a symptom though, more of a yahoo-woohoo thing LOL ;)
I guess the only thing that would tell for sure whether it's PT or a stroke is an MRI :-(
I thought maybe there was one little thing, like the head tilting, but no can appear in both cases :-/

Yes, an MRI would be very useful. I was just talking to my vet about that. She was telling me how there are many vets now getting their own MRI machine. She thought about it but it would take a whole exam room. I told her I'd definitely pay for an MRI if one of mine needed it.

Hey,

I'm very sad to let you know that my lil Pepper passed away this Saturday (27th) from a brain hemorrhage.
She went down from the sputnik to poop, and passed in a lightning while doing so.

I'm so very sad she's now gone, I miss her so much (and I lost another girl from cardiac arrest a few hours later that same night).

Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the knowledge shared here. Without it Pepper wouldn't have had extra quality time with her cage mates and with me.
She was such a pretty little girl who loved to lick me.
I have always been very closed to her, but with her condition back in January, and me nursing her like crazy, we bonded like crazy.
A few weeks before she passed, she had her head that started to tilt, and she would come running to me when she heard my voice because she wanted me to cuddle her, she would asked for attention everytime, she was just so damn cute and so good to me.

I lost 3 girls within 5 days last week. I'm such a mess. I don't cry easily usually, but since last week I'm drowning in the river I cry :-/
