Belle turns 3 in November.

shes been bleeding from her vagina for a while now. we've seen the vet multiple times. She got antibiotics and it went away. after about a week it came back. we didnt want to spay since we're worried about her age. in the last few months she's lost some fur and her fur has definitely thinned- we thought it was age. at first the blood was bright red with no smell. Now it is a brown colour and definitely smells bad.

is spaying her even still an option? money is really tight and we dont want to spend $300 just to have her die on the table. we feel terrible since this keeps getting worse, but she wasn't the best surgery candidate to begin with.

any advice or someone with similar experience please share. she is my husband's heart rat and my first. losing her is going to be really tough

smell usually means bacteria. You said the bleeding stopped after being on antibiotics? how long was she on the antibiotics? A spay at her advanced age is probably too much for her, but you could keep her on antibiotics to keep things under control for the rest of her life. Is her belly bloated at all?
