how to take care of a rat

Just like any other animal you feed and water them and give them love and attention! Rats LOVE to be around their people! They have to get used to you first though. Give them a habitat with plenty of roaming space and they need a hammock to hide in and to stay warm. They love treats but don't give to many or that'll b all they want....

I think they chew just anything, it must be something they need to do? Chew toys in their cage should be a good idea.

i have her food on my desk that's why she chews her cage i think or when she sees me she will bite her cage and she has sticks but she doesn't chew them that often
