New to the rat shack.!

Hi everyone, just joined the rat shack although I am not new to rats. I’ve had a total of 4 throughout my childhood and now have one of my own. Yes, I said one. Also yes I have been thinking about a companion, otherwise, she’s doing fine as an only child. I got her when she was still a pup and nursed her myself with kitten formula ever 4 hours for about 2 1/2 weeks, which no, wasn’t always fun. She’s now about 5 months old, her name is JellyBean and I play with her every single day from around 6pm-11pm give or take and more frequently on my days off. Here are a couple pictures of her from when I first got her to now

i have a question. does she lick you? it might seem weird but im wondering cause my girls do it so im wondering if anyone elses rats do it.

She is constantly licking my hands. I can’t get her to stop mostly in the webs of my fingers

I’ve had her since she was about 2 weeks old and ever since she was a pup she’s liked to lay in my shirt and I think it’s so sweet.

Yes love everything about them except... their shorter life span . may be we have to learn that good things are not always meant to last long... or we dont value them.

7 years 4 months. His name was Rodney he’s in the Guinness world records.
