Got two new boys yesterday ... I really miss my nakers and well I need a pet that lives longer than our ratties - we've had 11 losses this year already. We have no plans to stop having rat children - just added on. Obviously, by now you've guessed their not rats, but you guys are like family so here are Gus & Dexter

I am very excited about having pets that will live longer, my heart needed it, but I realized I will be even more attached as the years go on...catch twenty-two I guess. Gus is more laid back and cuddly. Dexter is going to be trouble I think, and he is fast!! I have trouble catching him .. he is a squeaker too.

The rats seem confused by them and at times I find them all jammed into one corner of their cages trying to look at them. It's quite funny to see. Then at other times they are running around like crazy when I come into the room - like they are trying to tell me invaders have landed...

They are so skiddish. Gus is pretty laid back, but Dexter (black one) is a diva

Brief update, Dexter "Diva" has been a Poophead while Gus has been a sweetie .... in March they were neutered and now they have reversed their behavior... Gus is the Poophead while Dexter is just being anti-social...hates to be touched and held, squealing like "a pig"
