I have been told that the SPCA seized all the baby rats plus most of the adults and is letting the woman keep only 3 female ratties. They also seized all of her cats, guinea pigs and rabbits.
The home was in such bad condition that 2 children living there were taken into custody by Social Development and are being placed into foster care.
Update: The Moncton SPCA Kill shelter is overwhelmed with dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs - cages are lining the hallways. ...……………………...…………. They also have a huge number of ratties in two cages meant to hold a max of approx. 5 ratties each - The ratties are not yet available for adoption. ...............…...........................................….. Please consider applying to adopt!!!
You might also contact your local SPCAs and tell them you would like to apply to adopt if they get in ratties from the Moncton SPCA.
