My ratties finally starting to bond

My boys grooming each other but still aot of chasing ans nipping with moments of grooming. Caius is black And Artan is the hooded rat with a grey head and white body

In a savic royal cage. The top. Is kitted with a rope bridge, rope hammock two wooden levels including sputnik den. The bottom level. A tube, another rope hammock, and trixie ladder. Poor artan rat is being treated with synolux and metacam at the moment

Yes many months in. Sometimes they have a scuffle and their is squeaking as the other one gets excited and tries to hump the other one. They tend to prefer to sleep in different places. Sometimes together I got them a bigger hide away as sputnik was getting small for both. But they have options. They seem Okay to laze on the wooden shelves or the plastic shelves. They wrestle and chase each other and do the flippy upside down thing.
