I have had my new rats for a week now, and I have noticed on being able to get closer to them, one of my boys has an injury on his nose/mouth, the best way to describe the location is like this : You look at a rats nose, and then theres that line down the middle which splits off into the two sides of the upper jaw. Just beside that line, on the one side, there looks to be a little flesh missing, it doesnt look raw, theres no scab and its not bleeding or anything.

He seems to be fine in every other aspect. Has anyone else experienced this? Could it have been from fighting with his brother? (even just mock fighting). Im pretty sure he has had it from when I got him but Ive only been able to get a good look now. Just wondering if I should get him to vet or just leave it :/

It's probably just a little scratch, likely from an accidental owie while playing with his cagemate.

Rats will have scars from various encounters. You really notice it on the nakies.
