Hello, I have a 2 year 6 month old girl and shes got chronic resp disease. Ive had her on antibiotics more often than not over the last 12-18 months...as it doesn't matter how long shes been on a course of baytril/doxy for (ive even tried for months at a time)...within 10 days of her coming off them she begins making noises again. She responds really well to the antibiotics. Shes on them longterm now as I'm scared with her age that if I try and give her a break from them, she might not be able to fight it off if I put her back on. The vet says they're comfortable with me doing this longterm. But I just wanted to make sure it really was okay? Shes in great health when shes on them!
I give her 0.2 ml baytril once per day.
And 0.08ml doxy liquid twice a day.
She takes it quickly and easily with custard 😊
Shes also 548g. Big girl. But she eats very healthily!
