Little Dude has a diaphragmatic hernia. There are abdominal contents in his chest and he has only a tiny amount of useable lung space.
Little Dude has probably had a diaphragmatic hernia his entire life.
Unfortunately nothing can be done except to keep him comfortable.
Fortunately the Lasix and antibiotics seem to be helping to keep his useable lung space functioning well.
Little Dude was rescued in December 2016 with his (feeder breeder) mama Rose and sister Sandra (he was being given away as free snake food).
Little Dude was approx. 1 year old in September.
