My daughters rat appeared to have complications breathing ( we believe he may have had something stuck I throat). But now appears to have a limp leg. Any help with what might be the cause.

So his breathing is ok now?
Was he drooling? How long did it last?
I would suggest a vet check up with a good vet who has the knowledge and experience to treat rats.
While it is not unusual for rats to have an injury and limp for a few days, this sounds serious and in need of immediate vet care

Loving rats since 2002.
I would definitely get her vet checked if she's having trouble breathing. They need meds asap.
