Licking and swimming?

Trouble is doing ok since I separated her from the boys. She now licks my hand all over though. Is this because she's lonely?

Also do all rats like to swim/ play in the water?

Most rats hate swimming in water, but there are a few who enjoy it Licking can be just a sign of affection from rats. You'll see them licking each other for no reason as well

Licking/grooming is very common in rats, doing it to each other and to us.
