Travelin' Rat's June Rescue of the Month is: Our Little Rat Rescue from Oklahoma City, OK!

Our Little Rat Rescue was founded in March 2017 to help pet rats and other rodents in need. Our goal is to provide them with a safe and loving home.
In December of 2016, my kids and I adopted 13 rats from the shelter. We fell in love with them and wanted to do more. In February of 2017 we found someone with an accidental litter and asked if we could have all the girls since that is what we had. By the time we were able to connect, she needed them all gone so she gave them all to us. 2 girls and 13 boys. Yikes. And with that the idea of the rescue came into play. We officially took the leap in March 2017 and have taken in 200 animals since that time.
Here at Our Little Rat Rescue, we strive to provide all of our animals with a safe and loving home. We have adopted over 200 animals out and the rest are being cared for by myself and my children. The rescue is a home-based 501(c)(3) rescue shelter. We are a no-kill shelter.
We deal with rats, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, and gerbils.
