Is my rat male or female.

To give a little backstory I got two males from a breeder some days ago and I saw that one of the males didn't have testicle so I instantly thought oh shoot this is a female but the breeder said it was male, and it doesn't have nipples. I don't see a slit between its anus and urethra either. I'm so confused though. they are 5-6 weeks

At 5 weeks you should see obvious testicles in males. Just in case gently palpate the lower abdomen of the rat feeling for lumps inside (undescended testicles...not common)
