Is Java wood rat safe?

I am considering buying a table top bird perch to put into my rat cage for them to climb on. The perch is made of Java wood....has anyone ever used this type of wood for their rats...or know if it's rat safe??? It's really a beautiful piece of wood...and my rats will LOVE it for play and climbing! TIA

Err.. I'm not sure about Java wood but I know (or I think) Java beans are toxic to them.. So I really have no idea but I hope someone with more information on things like this will come along .
