Hi

I have a male who is alone at the moment because he won't accept babies. I'm considering having him chemically neutered since he's a little over one and a half years old and so he wouldn't have to go through surgery. I have another group of boys already.

Will it be possible to introduce a neutered boy to an already established group of adult boys? Or will they still see a neutered adult as a threat and will the neutered boy see them as threats as well?

Hi, good for you for thinking about getting him neutered. I have no experience with chemical castration but if it's anything like surgical neutering, there should be no issued. You still have to do proper slow intro steps but none of the rats will see the other as a threat because of the neuter.
