Ill baby boy and intros with Christmas

On Wednesday evening one of the beige baby boys was rolling violently in the cage.
It was so bad that Godmother thought he was having seizures.
I started him immediately on clavamox and baytril.



The following day he had a vet visit just to ensure that it was an inner ear infection and not something else.
The vet noticed that he was rolling in the opposite direction to his head tilt.



Since he is ill and on meds, he did not make the trip to Mainely Rat Rescue with his brothers, sisters, friends and his mama.

One of the Saint John black berk baby boys stayed behind to keep him company.
(Lindsayfawn and I felt that a black berk boy might be less adoptable then some of the other babies.)

The baby boy is doing much better, he is no longer rolling and his head tilt seems to have disappeared.

Perhaps he faked the head tilt because he wanted to stay with his savior...
Hope he stay untilty and remains healthy. he's a cutie.

so far, so good ... Christmas ignores them, sniffs their butts, and grooms them



the babies burrow under Christmas, climb on him, groom him, and squeak in protest when Christmas sniffs their butts too often

Christmas lived the remainder of his life with his 4 babies (the 2 baby boys and 2 baby girls - all spayed or neutered once they were old enough)
