How long does it take for a rats body to completely flush out all they have ate and drank?

My rats have a tendency of eating things they shouldn’t get into that I didn’t even know were there, such as an m&m under the couch or a gummy bear. All are not good for them. So long how should I stay worried before they end up pooping it out?

Please only allow your rats out to free range in a rat safe area because it sounds like they are getting into things that are unhealthy and may get into things that are dangerous.
There are some ideas for play areas, toys etc in the Reference Thread REFERENCE Thread - Read Only

LOL my rats are total candy thieves if I'm not careful! They have even stolen from my hands! Then, they pout when I take it away (assuming they didn't run off and gobble it up before I noticed). But I'd just be careful what they may or do have access to....
