Hi, one of my girls has a big scab beneath her ear - possibly from play-fighting or even from slipping while grooming herself (she likes to do it while balanced on a wooden nibbler for some reason). Anyway, I ask because there was a little bit of pus under one corner of the scab. I cleaned it all out with warm water and a cotton bud but I don;t want it coming back and turning into a full-blown infection, especially as it's so close to her ear. I have some baytril left over from one of my other rats. I got it about five months ago and it's been in a cool, dry place. Would it be okay to give to her until the pus has definitely been eradicated?
