For the second time this week, I've come home to find my rats have escaped their cage and were running free all over my house. Took me 2 hours to round them all up and get them back in their room/cage.
They have a free roam room to themselves, and during the day they go back in the cage and I open the door to get some ventilation going all the way through. First time it happened I assumed I'd not shut the cage door properly so have been extra careful since then. Then it happened again today.
Problem is, I have a double critter nation and I literally can't work out how they are managing it! I thought they were pretty much escape proof. Now I have visions of them all working together to somehow squeeze the latches and escape the moment I go out .
Anyone ever have rats escaping from a CN and know how they do it?
