Lola had the good life with jim (who I loaned her to for his lone rat Ben) the last few weeks of her life. I have always loved and watched over this girl because I just always had a feeling something was wrong. She was all set to be adopted then I noticed she had very white teeth I deemed her our house rat after that day. She developed a small tumor on her side and we set her up for a tumor removal but that horrible feeling hit me again and I had the vet check her over prior to surgery. Sadly poor Lola had a heart problem. I never seen an indication of anything other than her teeth being white. I looked and listened and never seen anything. She came here from a shelter in Fort wayne, along with stella and the other girls. Her name was shy which is right, she was a very shy girl but I could trust her with any rat so that made her very special. I didnt have to worry about her being mean. She was my buddy for maisey while she was ill and she was with stella when she passed. Sadly this sweet girl lost her battle today. Play hard at the bridge baby girl. We will all miss your sweet little shy soul.
The babies are 5 days old now. Almost time to start weighing momma to see if we will have more on the way.
We have 3 or 4 little runty babies. One being the smallest. She has a good milkband though so I think she will make it. They are also a different color not sure if it is from the runt part of them or just they are different colors. I havent sexed them yet. Kait did and the guess was 8 girls and 3 boys. I wait for hair to pop up since they are so tiny right now.
I love how their tails and feet look at this age. ALmost transparent.

The momma box to keep us all safe. She will nip me out of the cage but she just walks up, bites and keeps going. I think it is more of a testing nip than a mean girl nip. She doesnt change her demeanor at all. She loves coming out for out time. She zips all over now. Daddy is with Astryd's boys in the playpen so he has friends kinda LOL
