Help identifying marking/color

Recently my rat, Lilac, had a litter- half of the babies are hooded agoutis, while the other half are hooded American blues (I think) However I noticed a weird white and dark blue speckling on the face of some of the blue babies, does anyone know what this is or is it just an irregular marking?

I don’t have any really focused photos (squirmy babies, haha) but here are some I’ve took:

Here are some better photos- some of the babies have opened their eyes, and the blue babies have ruby eyes!

It looks like merling. Look up pearl merle mink merle pics to see if that's what it looks like.

The blue babies look more russian blue in those pics.

Yes, it looks like that! Except the little splotches of color are on the babies heads :) The blue babies might be Russian blue but I’m not sure as that photo was taken after dark, under a warm light. I’m not very good at identifying colors so I’m not sure, I did get a photo under natural light today though :)
