Hello all!
My name is Lara, I'm from NH and I saved a little doe from becoming snake chow right around Christmas time!
Her name is Daisy and we're still getting to know each other.
This is my first rat, but I've been researching like crazy, and I hope to learn much more!

HI Lara, Welcome to the forum!

Thank you for saving Daisy :)

Here is some info you may find helpful https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/reference-thread-read-only.35894/

and as everyone will mention, you need to get Daisy at least one same sex friend because rats need to live with other rats ….… and unless all rats are under 12 weeks old there are gradual intro steps to use to make sure no one is hurt as rats are territorial

Oh yes. More rat friends is a must!
Actually, today, I'm going to see a woman about a litter.
The thing though is I'm not sure how old Daisy is. Based on her size, I think Daisy is an adult.
She's only been in her cage for a few days. If I were to bring a young rat (possibly even a baby), or two, how should I go about introductions?
