Frozen Alive and Survived

Rats are often sold as more "humane" frozen food for other animals.
They are often put alive in a freezer (CO2 and cervical dislocation are not humane either)
There is no way to kill a rat humanely unless it is done properly by a vet

Three girls (one was pregnant) survived being frozen alive with their friends, and shipped

Update:

The 3 girls and the 6 babies were all adopted to good homes

The local pet store in my city, Pets Unlimited, regularly had employees put live, conscious rats, and other animals into their freezer and close the lid. Employees reported this occurring for years until the store finally closed, but I never heard of any animals surviving.
