My sweet girl Peanut has had a mammary tumor for some time now and it has grown to the point where she cannot get around anymore and her quality of life is in question. We have come to the hard decision to have her put down this week as she truly isn’t enjoying life anymore. It breaks my heart but I don’t want her to suffer just so she can live a little longer. I’ve had her since she was a little baby and she is my little girl. I know she’s had the best life getting into mischief and making me laugh everyday so I want to give her one last great day before I say goodbye. I’m planning on giving her all the sugary foods I’ve tried to not give them their whole lives and she will get lots of free roam and all her favorite treats. Does anyone have any advice for the last day? I’m trying to stay positive and just enjoy the time I have left but it’s hard. She can’t really get around much so I’m thinking of giving her a little area where everything is easy to get around and she can just have free roam for the whole last day. I’m going to miss her so much but she has had an amazing almost 2 years with me and I’m so grateful for the time I had with her. I’ve added some pictures of her in her youth being adorable 😝😍 I can’t imagine my life without her and it’s breaking my heart but I know that I don’t want her to suffer just to stay here longer❤️

I lost my first girl just over a month ago, I know how you must be feeling...
I'd suggest taking some pictures with her. I did that with mine, it was hard but now I have something to take me back to those last precious moments.
I wish you and your girls a geat day all together

Thank you! I will! I’m currently making her a peanut butter cake 😝

I just gave peanut a huge piece of peanut cake and she happily munched on it until she was full. Now she’s napping with a belly full of cake and a dose of ibuprophen so she doesn’t feel any pain. I feel bad when I see her looking happy but then I see her struggle to get into her hammock or to even move around and I know she’s ready. She’s been super painful the past couple days I think from the tumor and also probably other problems in her old body so I know it’s time. She has always loved climbing and running and now that she can’t I know she’s not happy. I’m gonna miss her so much but it’s nice to know that she won’t be in any pain or suffering. We have an appointment for 2 pm so we’re enjoying every minute we have with her before we let her go. Here’s a picture of her in her post cake nap❤️

We weren’t allowed to go in with her (COVID) which broke my heart because I wasn’t able to be with her for her last moments 😭 We spent a while in the car cuddling and just telling her we loved her and that she could let go. I wish I could’ve been there with her but I’m happy she’s at peace now.
