So a while back I rescued a rat who ended up being pregnant- this is one of her pups. I’m new to this and am trying to learn all I can about genetics and their coats/patterns.
I believe he is a black broken hooded rex (top ear)
but what I’m really interested in learning about is the spots on his belly.

it is not unusual for hooded rats to have spots like that on their belly etc
Really!? Thank you! That’s so cool. I didn’t know that. I’ve seen a lot of hooded ones and have only seen one other with a spot on the belly
