Combined cages

I spent my days off putting all my rats together. Yeah! I left work on Tuesday around 2pm got home and slept till 5pm. From 5pm to around 5am I was sewing nonstop. I had to make all new hammocks and cage liners, I could not have any remnants of any rats scent. Then I took a 15hr break to sleep and run errands, then back to it. So starting around 8pm, I put all the ratties in their playpen and started dismantling their cages. I had to take EVERYTHING OUT, and wipe everything down, then proceed to put everything back in. Ugh. At around 2am all 6 of my girl Ratties were moved in to their re-done/combined cage. The were all so excited, running up and down. They are getting along great. I had to put doors on each level, because it stands so tall, it stands 7.5 feet tall!. But I'm so happy with it!

Wow! That looks so nice! I remember how excited my gang got when I first doubled their cage size. It was ecstatic chaos for an hour at least!

Looks really fun and full. I read a study once and it showed that rats prefer a very busy full cage.

They love it when I a few wads of crumpled newspaper on each level, they go crazy for that. Its funny how they love the cheapest easiest toys, over the paid for ones
