i know that rats love digging boxes and cat grass (wheat) but what about grand rapids lettuce? i bought a seed selection for cat lovers at canadian tire for my bf's dad's cat Buffy but she could care less about it so i thought i could give it to my rat boys to play with but i'm not sure about the lettuce, i've never heard of that type before and i was also thinking about gnawing on it myself :laugh4: . it grows really quick and is really pretty, we didn't plant the catnip, just some rye, wheat and the lettuce :D Thanks

Grand Rapids Lettuce is just.. lettuce! I think it is easier to grow than other types, and that's why it would have been included in the packaging.

It's very edible for you, and is high in vitamins A & B.

As for the rats, I can imagine that the same rules would apply to it as it does to other lettuce... always in moderation.
