Broken foot?

Hello everyone!
Recently my rat hurt his left foot. It is swollen and he holds it up when walking. When he is laying down he will lie on his left side to avoid putting weight on the foot/ankle area. I noticed it on the 14th of October and I left it alone thinking that the sprain or break would heal on its own. Four days later and it is still swollen and he will not use it at all. Should I wait a little longer before getting him some metacam or ibuprofen?
He also sprained his foot in early August and that healed by itself in around a week.

Whenever there's swelling and pain medication is always the way to go, reducing swelling will help it heal. What color is the swollen area.? Could you post a picture by chance.?

Hi! Here are some pictures of his foot. He doesn't squeak when I touch it. He is also on Theophylline for CRD so I am not sure if I can give him ibuprofen while on that medication.

The pics look like a very bad sprain. Definitely.give infant liquid ibuprofen to help bring the swelling down and help with pain.
