Bricanyl tablets 5mg dosage

Hi, so vet prescribed Bricanyl tablets 5mg for my rat. It says give 3/4 of tablet 2 times a day.
So i am now confused, if i brake tablet in 4 pieces i should give 3 pieces out of those 4? But when vet explained how to give those she said to give 1 piece. Can someone explain this to me please?

It sounds like a typo on the label. I would definitely suggest the 1.25 mg (1/4 pill) like your vet suggests.
