So one of my rats, Sprocket, is completely white with black eyes, and i hadn't seen many of this colour on rat forums or YouTube, and when I looked it up it came up that black eyed whites have bad health and alot of them get epilepsy and are deaf. Are these facts true- and how do I find out if my rat is deaf.

Edit: He does also have quite a bit of poryphin but he doesn't seem stressed at all, is this normal

I'm not entirely sure, he is just completely white and has black eyes, are there other ways to tell? Here is some pics

I don't think he's a BEW, but a pearl. They are beautiful off white rats with dark eyes. :) Wait til he's gone through his adult molt and see what he ends up like :)
