So sorry to hear! That's scary :(
Wheels make me nervous as I have seen a mouse get an eye popped out on the metal kind fighting to get on while another was running :s

April 27th: Day 23 - I'm slowly getting over the shock of loosing a baby in such a horrible way. Apparently such wheel accidents have happened before in the rescue. *Shudder* In any case, the remaining babies are packing on weight - in some of the pics its getting difficult finding the momma. And GREAT news!!! I can keep little Miss Cream!!! As much as I love Mr. Cinnamon, I wanted a girl for my next syrian, and well, he's more on looks than personality. And yes, I did ask the hubby for permission this time - I was super surprised that he said yes considered how cheesed off he was when he discovered I was fostering again.

April 28th: Day 24 - Oh geez, we now have wrestling 24/7 - these kiddos sure know how to play hard! Fortunately they're keeping it tame with tickle matches and tummy raspberries. Super cute to watch, but its such a bummer knowing that it would eventually develop into full-throttle fighting when they get older.

April 29th: Day 25 - Hehe, this update is a little momma-centric. I'm pretty sure Fauna is done weaning - she's starting to karate kick the kiddos when they make a move on her underbelly. The two largest pups are absolutely huge now, practically half the size of her.

I cannot believe they are that big now already. How insane. when will you start splitting them up?

April 30th: Day 26 - Haha, no question any more who the boys are - they all now have the teeniest cherry pink torpedoes. I kinda want to separate the genders already, but there's a four-week minimum needed with mom. Only a couple more days left now. Been worker super hard to get these babies socialized before they move on this Saturday. The runty ones are still a bit squirrely, but there's been no biting, nipping, or squalling when I handle them.

Do you wanna come home to me sweet baby???

I have been fighting that urge from the beginning with that little one...

LOL, that little gal is the feistiest one of the bunch! It took her a long while to figure out that I'm not a chew toy, and she always ends up on top in their impromptu wrestling matches.

LOL! That's exactly the attitude she shows in that pose... ::sigh::

I swear, if I didn't have 7 rats already, plus one old guinea pig, and if Jay was not cardiac, if Puce and Maya were not so packed with endless issues, if Toto wasn't so scared of other rats in the cage... I would darn ask for a hammy train!!!

May 1st: Day 27 - Well, our time together is quickly drawing to a end, and I must admit I'm feeling a bit relieved. These kiddos have been chowing through several bags of Hazel Hamster food, and I've been having to clean their bin every other day (soooooo much pee!). As you might have noticed, my updates have been a day behind since it takes a while for my edits to go into effect on Photobucket. Tomorrow will be the actual transport to the adoption outpost, but the last set of photos should be ready for viewing on Sunday.
