Hi everyone,

Unfortunately my beautiful rat Snowy is at the end of her life, which means she will be leaving behind her perfectly healthy 1y10mo old sister Dotty. I would really like to get a companion female rat of roughly a similar age, but am having lots of difficulty finding any rescues around the Sydney area.

Does anyone know anybody who is looking to rehome a female rat or 2 around Sydney, NSW?

Thank you <3

You do not always need to get rats that are the same age. My rats all tend to be groups of different ages put together unless they all pass in a short period of time (happened once). Often my groups have an older survivor and a bunch of much younger rats. This also depends on how many rats you want to keep at once (10 for me, currently have 6). I find groups of 3-4 are the best in terms of social dynamic, but they will totally live in larger groups too depending on how much space you can provide.
