I had 4 girls and each one had paired up they would still play and cuddle together, but there was a bit of a bigger bond in each pair, recently one of my twins passed away and my two other girls have started picking on my last twin a lot, I was thinking about getting another female and let the two bond a bit and try to “replace” her sister a little and maybe the picking on will stop? Any thoughts?
She has been squeaking a lot and really loud and always runs away from them and is always sleep alone, if they are together it doesn’t last long till the other two start bugging her

getting another rattie would be a good idea ….. remember to quarantine unless you get a rat from a good rescue that has already been quarantined for 6 weeks
however if you get a baby, you will need to get at least 2 or 3 because babies need another baby to play with
and unless all the girls are under 12 weeks old, gradual intros take time

Btw, girls need to be spayed for health reasons https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/why-spay-or-neuter-rats.35402/
and the Reference Thread is a good place to check out https://www.ratshackforum.com/threads/reference-thread-read-only.35894/
