Both new moms are less than 6 months old. 23 pups born less than a week ago & only one of the moms is nursing.

Help.

Will the non-nursing mom come to her senses?
Is 23 babies too much strain for the nursing mom?
Should I get kitten formula?

Did you ever get an answer? I'm in the same situation right now.
Oh, how many babies?

You can also introduce yourself and talk about your situation in the Introduction section of the forum and hopefully get a lot of responses. Just a suggestion.

I culled 5 of them this morning. There were 28 before that. I also had to separate my girls. The one not taking care of the kits started fighting.
A tough call to make? I'm sure it was for the good of the majority. Thanks for the reply.
