Can sounds during sleep be normal or should I be wary of a respiratory infection? I would think that older rats become more vulnerable to mycoplasma?

My dumbo rat, 2 year old male has been making odd sounds recently, I have been researching and looking around if anyone else has had this problem but I couldn't find anything except people reporting "grunting" sounds, if this is even considered grunting, but he's been doing it for a few weeks...
