Welcome!! I am a new owner too! I was told to handle them a lot at first to get them used to my scent. I have had them two months and they still get skittish around me sometimes. They are much better though and crawl all over me now. I hope this helps. You have some super adorable ratties Monica

Hi My ratties keep covering their food dish with Kleenex (given as bedding and toy). Is this normal? They are fed Oxbow blocks and like their food. I feed it to them by hand and have watched them eat it. Thank you

My ratties don’t really use wooden chew toys. They love boxes, paper and Kleenex boxes full of Kleenex that they can tear to shred. They also love lava blocks.

Thanks everyone. I have dwarf ratties so I scale things down based on their size but they do not like the Oxbow blocks but will eat Oxbow adult food for rats, with fresh veggies is this enough? Thank you everyone
