Hello, I have a 2 year 6 month old girl and shes got chronic resp disease. Ive had her on antibiotics more often than not over the last 12-18 months...as it doesn't matter how long shes been on a course of baytril/doxy for (ive even tried for months at a time)...within 10 days of her coming off...

So its been 11 days now and shes still making the grunting. But its very quiet. Like I only hear it if I hold her up to me and its not EVERY breath. Im going to keep medicating just to be safe but...is it possibly some rats just breathe this way? Its just so persistent. Shes got no other...

So its been 1 week today since new girl has been on baytril and doxy twice daily. She seems in perfect health except she is still making soft grunting noises pretty much all the time. Why hasn't this stopped after 1 week of antibiotics? I thought if it was just myco then it wouldve stopped by now 😒

Im definitely not giving her an amount that I think would be possible for her to choke to death from. Shes so wriggly I'm not even able to give her more than 0.1ml max at a time and then I give her a few moments to swallow it and recover, and we go again.

So my bottle of doxy says "50mg/ml oral liquid" but my baytril one doesn't specify. They typed "give 0.21 ml twice daily" on the label but I think thars referring to my Annabelle who is 518g. Chloe (new girl) is half her size. Chloe has been isolated and on meds for 7 days tomorrow. Annabelle...

Sorry I didn't mean 1ml !! I meant 0.1ml. Shes about 250g. Ive been doing 0.07ml doxy and 0.2ml enro. Should I change?

im only giving her like 1ml at a time. Not too much, so I can avoid spillage 🙂 Shes crazy wiggly but we are getting there. She seems perfectly healthy other than the slight grunting. Shes been on doxy and baytril twice daily for 5 days now and its still not gone 😒
