    Toughts on Stevia?

It's better classified as a low-to-zero glycemic sweetener than an artificial one. The compound is naturally occurring and some of the preparations of it are definitely natural in nature (dried stevia leaf in teas, simple tinctures distilled into alcohol, etc) as opposed to being extracts or...

I'm so sorry she passed. You did everything you could, a rattie couldn't ask for more from their owner :(

    internal mass-rest well Hoggle.

Such a bummer for Hoggle - sometimes these things just happen, it was because you're such a diligent owner that it was noticed so quickly! Rest in peace, sweet boy!

    Toughts on Stevia?

On the occasions I give my rats table food like porridge it has a few drops of stevia in it. I've never noticed adverse side effects, but give it very infrequently. I wouldn't do any sugar alcohols at all, but a stevia glycerite should be safe (be careful with powdered stevia, some have...

So I've been absent for a while...

Congratulations! I had a summer baby with my second, it was quite nice not to haul the baby around in the snow for a few months :). I'm currently due any day with #4 and not really looking forward to the winter trudge with another newborn ;) ETA - I just realized winter trudging at the end of...

Regal Rat Oxbow for 9 week old male?

Good point! One of my boys was a little noisy in the breathing, with the occasional click while he was sleeping, and the other two had a touch of it, too. I freaked and called the vet, but decided to switch out the bedding over the weekend (was using the white Kaytee soft bedding). It turns...

Tumor vs. Viral Infection in the Brain

Tricky! I have no advice to offer other than it sounds like your main vet is very competent and I hope she remains comfortable and with control of her symptoms once the antibiotic routine is established (more than one sounds like a better bet, I agree). Keep us posted on her progress :(

    Corner rat cage

Like triangularly shaped for a corner? I'd imagine that sort of thing would be custom and not terribly difficult to work up :)
